A Shanghai Weekend Getaway

While the weather is nice, we are trying to see AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE! So, this weekend, we packed our bags and boarded a sleeper train destined for Shanghai.

When we arrived, we hit the ground running and visited both the Shanghai Museum and the Shanghai Urban Planning Museum.

After that, we biked to the Bund, ferried across the river to Pudong and went up to the observation deck of the world’s second highest tower– Phew!

That night, we were amazed by the tourist extravaganza of the Shanghai acrobats (sorry no pictures) and bused back to the Bund to see the city skyline by night.

The next day, we strolled through a cute area of shops called Tianzifang and the Shanghai Propaganda Poster Museum.

We also had time to visit with some friends! (not pictured, visiting with the Workases)

Following this, we raced to the train station to book it back to Beijing and stumble exhausted back into our beds. We really packed it in, but I wouldn’t have changed anything.
